below is the OGP strip that was published on june 4, 2006. I came up with this ending after I had already drawn the strip with a different, albeit still hysterical, ending. the coverage of tomkat's newborn baby was borderline sickening and the fact that it was a girl made the change a no-brainer...

... and this is the original idea I had for this strip...

even though I felt the idea was funny, the whole dick cheney “incident” was so overdone and a bit past its prime, even with travis’ line in the last panel. the idea of tom cruise and katie holmes producing a baby
that looks like madame red was much more amusing to me.

alternate "dear kitty" strip / september 23, 2006

"dear kitty" is one of my favorite OGP storylines and it usually is the one that gets me in the most trouble. I've had to tone down a few of these strips in the past, but this strip was just too good to waste.
my editor and I compromised... the more subtle "alternate" version would run in the newspapers
and the original would appear on the less-conservative internet.

I don't purposely write risque material ... but I don't necessarily turn it away when it comes to me.
